Energy Performance Certificates are required on the construction, sale or rent of all commercial, residential and public buildings in England and Wales. From 1 July 2011 the legislation requires the owner or landlord, or their Agent to provide an EPC prior to marketing. From 1 October 2011, Agents will be required to attach the EPC to written particulars.
